I began my career at EY as an auditor, specializing in industrial clients. After three years, I transitioned into a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) role at Dorchester Minerals, an oil and gas royalty company, where I have been working for the past year.
What am I doing – describe your current role and objectives:
I focus on analyzing financial data to support decision-making processes. I manage budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking to ensure financial health and help guide strategic planning. My objective is to provide insightful analysis that enhances business operations and drives profitability while optimizing the company’s royalty streams in the energy sector. Looking ahead, my career objectives include further refining my financial expertise, broadening my experience in strategic financial management, and eventually taking on leadership roles where I can influence larger financial strategies. I'm committed to continuing my professional growth within the energy sector while expanding my impact on the company's long-term success.
Connections trying to make:
I’m focused on connecting with more established professionals in finance and the oil and gas sectors to learn from their experience. Building relationships with industry leaders and peers in FP&A and strategic planning will help me gain valuable insights, share best practices, and accelerate my career growth.
