Investment Analyst
COMPANY
TriGate Capital, LLC is a best-in-class real estate investment manager focused on the recapitalization and repositioning of quality commercial real estate assets and companies. The company is based in Dallas, Texas, and has $2.1 billion of assets under management. The firm manages several real estate funds and is currently raising its fifth fully discretionary real estate fund and is also investing from its Growth and Income Partnership.
OPPORTUNITY
The Analyst will work closely with the investment team to analyze new acquisitions and assist in the asset management of existing investments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a demonstrated interest in commercial real estate investment to learn a broad array of skills from experienced professionals. The Analyst will actively participate in all aspects of the investment process and work directly with the firm’s principals. This is a unique opportunity for someone to gain a mastery of commercial real estate investing and asset management.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
• Playing a key role in identifying and underwriting new investments
• Creating internal communications and presenting new investment opportunities
• Preparing and maintaining cash flow models for new and existing investments
• Working closely with asset managers to analyze leases, financings, dispositions and other decisions
• Producing presentation materials for communications with new and existing investors
• Tracking performance metrics for existing investments
• Working with investment teams to perform periodic valuations of existing investments
• Assisting with special projects and internal ad hoc requests
REQUIREMENTS
• Up to two years of relevant work experience and/or internships will be considered
• Graduates of top universities, including majors in business, finance, real estate, or similar areas of study
• Distinguished undergraduate and/or professional accomplishments
• Superior quantitative and financial modeling skills, with proven analytical abilities
• Ability to work autonomously, be proactive, multi-task, and work in an entrepreneurial, small-firm setting
• Strong work ethic, integrity, and ability to take direction
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Knowledge of ARGUS Enterprise preferred, and strong Excel modelling skills required
