Real estate and finance attorney with expertise in complex transactions and regulatory matters. I started my legal career at Winstead PC in Dallas, before moving to Washington DC to join ArentFox Schiff. Previously, while a student at SMU, I became the youngest elected official in Dallas County history when I won a seat on the DeSoto ISD Board of Trustees, later serving as board president.
What am I doing – describe your current role and objectives:
I am a partner in DLA Piper’s Real Estate Practice, splitting my time between the Dallas and Washington, DC offices. Our group supports national, regional, and local banks, as well as capital-market lenders and borrowers, in originating and restructuring various types of loans, including construction, term, and secured credit facilities. A significant portion of my practice centers on real estate development, guiding acquisition and leasing for clients across food & beverage, multifamily and senior living, hospitality, retail, data centers, and mixed-use sectors.
Connections trying to make:
Real estate and finance professionals. Education advocates. SMU enthusiasts.
