After graduating undergraduate from Trinity University, I spent the next five years working at CrossFirst Bank, a regional commercial bank located in Kansas City, KS, as a commercial credit underwriter. While at CrossFirst, I was the principal underwriter for our Oklahoma City market and by the time I left I had worked with the private bank, commercial real estate bank, and commercial bank underwriting a variety of different loan products. I began working at Pegasus in June of 2022 as an analyst where I liaised with lenders, produced investor models, engaged general asset management duties and undertook many different ad hoc projects.
What am I doing – describe your current role and objectives:
Currently, I have been focusing more on the property management side of the business, while continuing my asset management duties. When we transitioned management February, I played a large role in establishing our property management systems from helping our controller build out and map our chart of accounts to creating business intelligence dashboards for better monitoring to establishing processes and procedures. Additionally, I built out our IT Infrastructure to improve communication between groups and improve file management. Aside from the corporate initiatives i am involved with, I am also aggregating and disseminating resources to our onsite teams to make sure they have what they need to successfully run their assets. One of my longer-term initiatives is to solicit the services of our property management group to banks or other owners.
Connections trying to make:
Not being from Dallas (I grew up in Kansas City) I am always eager to grow my network. Working in commercial real estate, both on the investment side and operations side, I realize the importance of a robust network to expand vendor relationships or find other business opportunities.
