Current Company:

Title:

Career Coach/ Adjunct Professor

Education (SMU specific):

Bachelor of Art in English Literature, SMU

Career Background:

My career has always been about people. As an outreach coordinator for a non-profit in south Dallas, then coaching student athletes at SMU, or starting an editing business to help people tell their stories, I've always been focused on helping people find their place in the world. All of those experiences brought me to a role in Talent at Deloitte, where I worked with some of the best and brightest recruiters in the country to attract top talent. Now, my longtime dream of coming home to SMU has been achieved, and I'm honored to serve the Marketing students in Cox School of Business as a career coach and adjunct professor.

What am I doing – describe your current role and objectives:

I'm honored to bring career services to our Cox Marketing students in the form of one-on-one coaching, the advisory of our Cox Marketing students, and as an adjunct professor, teaching Business Leadership 1110.

Connections trying to make:

I want to expand my network for the sake of the students I serve, as well as in order to more fully engage with the SMU alumni community worldwide. This will make me more effective as a coach and will enrich my personal life, as well. I'm excited to offer my network, too, as a resource to SMU alumni I will meet through 1911. Thank you for considering my application!
